Vitality Wellness Therapeutic Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team as a full-time mental health professional specializing in trauma-informed care. As an integral member of our clinic, you will play a crucial role in providing expert mental health services aimed at helping individuals recover from trauma and overcome challenges associated with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and related dissociative disorders.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history, neurological responses, and emotional patterns, enabling the formulation of targeted therapeutic strategies.

• Create, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans designed to support trauma recovery, resilience, and overall mental well-being.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to the specific needs of each patient.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space where patients can process their trauma experiences and learn coping mechanisms.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure a seamless support system for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and immediate support strategies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about the effects of trauma, effective coping strategies, and available community resources to promote healing.
\n
• Maintain meticulous records, ensuring all documentation meets legal and ethical standards while adhering to confidentiality guidelines.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through attending case consultations and team meetings focusing on trauma-informed methodologies.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to enhance clinical practices and patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working directly with a diverse and complex patient population that includes individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to loss, abuse, and systemic violence. Our goal is to empower each client as they navigate their healing journey while building a therapeutic alliance that promotes trust and openness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical mental health setting, preferably working with trauma-related disorders.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-informed care principles, trauma-related disorders, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to a compassionate, non-judgmental approach in all patient interactions.
\n
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure in high-stress situations, providing critical support when needed.
\n
• Competency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant software applications.
\n
• Capacity to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Experience in delivering specific trauma-focused therapies and interventions in both individual and group settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
