The position allows for a primarily remote work setting, providing therapists with the flexibility to perform sessions from the comfort of their home while occasionally engaging in collaborative efforts at our outpatient office in Lakewood, NJ. Our work hours are typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with room for flexibility based on the unique needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patient histories and recommend appropriate treatment modalities.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, interpersonal skills, and building resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, enabling patients to process trauma effectively and cultivate coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to care for our patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective response.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and the resources available to them.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation that meets legal and ethical standards in patient care.

• Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities aimed at advancing trauma-informed practices.

• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to ensure best practice application.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus lies in assisting individuals affected by traumatic experiences, including those experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and related conditions. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality care.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment approaches, and resilience strategies is essential.

• Experience implementing trauma-specific therapies and interventions.
\n
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate demeanor and a non-judgmental approach.

• The ability to handle high-stress situations with composure is critical.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software.
\n
• A collaborative mindset, capable of working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with additional certifications in trauma-focused therapies and previous experience in an outpatient setting will be at an advantage. Knowledge of community resources and advocacy for trauma survivors is also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers an annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
