Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' backgrounds and trauma experiences, ensuring a careful understanding of their unique situations.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate strategies aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and furthering emotional resilience.

• Implement a range of therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, fostering an environment where clients can process their trauma and build effective coping mechanisms.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other health professionals to create holistic treatment approaches that enhance patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that clients receive timely help in high-stress situations.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and available resources, empowering them with knowledge to better navigate their healing journey.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the safeguard of patient privacy at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will assist clients in processing their experiences, developing resilience, and enhancing their emotional well-being, thereby making a profound impact on their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is preferred.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment methodologies, and resilience-oriented strategies.

• Proficient in diagnosing and treating trauma-related conditions using evidence-based approaches.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• The ability to remain calm in emergencies and high-stress situations.

• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.

• A strong capacity for teamwork within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
