Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments, utilizing comprehensive tools to evaluate clients' trauma history and determine effective treatment strategies.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and long-term mental health stability.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a therapeutic atmosphere that promotes healing and coping strategies among clients.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care, integrating medical, therapeutic, and community resources.

• Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating clinical skills and sensitivity to clients' immediate needs.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, fostering understanding and resilience.

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient data management.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at MedSphere, you will primarily work with adults and adolescents who have experienced trauma or exhibit symptoms related to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role will involve addressing the psychological, emotional, and behavioral impacts of trauma, ensuring targeted interventions that promote healing and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW within the state of Georgia.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, with a preference for those specializing in trauma-related therapies.

• Strong understanding of trauma-informed treatment modalities and evidence-based practices pertaining to mental health recovery.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, characterized by compassion, empathy, and a non-judgmental demeanor, essential for building rapport with clients.

• Capacity to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively, ensuring client safety and comfort.

• Proficient in utilizing EHR systems and a variety of computer applications relevant to clinical documentation and communication.
