Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at The Outlet, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and determine suitable treatment plans.

• Developing personalized treatment strategies that focus on trauma recovery, healing, and the enhancement of resilience in clients.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to navigate complex trauma scenarios.

• Providing both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process trauma, establish effective coping mechanisms, and work towards positive mental health outcomes.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
\n
• Offering crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, as well as guidance to families through difficult situations.

• Educating clients and their family members about trauma responses, care strategies, and resources available for further assistance.

• Maintaining accurate, confidential documentation compliant with ethical and legal standards.

• Engaging in ongoing professional development and learning, keeping abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be serving individuals who have experienced significant trauma. This includes survivors of abuse, neglect, and other overwhelming life events. You will be trained to recognize and respond effectively to the various manifestations of trauma, tailoring your interventions to fit each client's unique needs. Your work will be crucial in helping these individuals reclaim their lives and develop pathways to recovery.

Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, applicants must have:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders, resilience-building approaches, and trauma-informed care methodologies.

Preferred Experience\n

Previous experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and a demonstrated ability to establish rapport with diverse populations are highly valuable. You should possess excellent interpersonal skills, showcasing empathy and a non-judgmental attitude toward clients. A proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications is essential for maintaining accurate patient records.
