Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments through preliminary interviews, thoroughly documenting the client's case from the start of treatment until conclusion.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health, tailoring assessment approaches to suit diverse populations.
\n
• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans for clients, including individuals, couples, families, and group therapy participants.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and therapeutic individual and group therapy sessions to promote healing and personal growth.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to intervention plans to optimize outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, physicians, nurses, and social workers to create comprehensive intervention strategies.
\n
• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding clients when hospitalization is necessary, ensuring continuity of care.
\n
• Proactively identify and address behaviors that may hinder recovery, employing preventative strategies to encourage positive change.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges associated with their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counselors cater to a diverse client population, ranging from adolescents to adults, many of whom experience a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Grace Place, you will harness your expertise to provide tailored care that addresses the unique circumstances of each client, fostering a safe and affirming space for mental exploration and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, with a record of providing effective therapeutic support.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems such as AVATAR for managing client files and documentation.

• Experience in evaluating and treating underlying physical conditions and addiction disorders that may affect mental health.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices as established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• In-depth understanding of the impact and management of pharmacological interventions prescribed by medical professionals.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey therapeutic concepts and build rapport with clients.
\n
• Empathetic interpersonal skills that foster trust and allow clients to feel understood and supported.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for the position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
