This position will be conducted in a remote setting, offering the flexibility to engage effectively with patients from the comfort of your own home. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and evaluations of emotional and psychological needs, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities.

• Build and implement customized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices tailored to each patient’s specific trauma-related needs.

• Monitor progress by regularly reviewing and adjusting treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical judgment.

• Provide education and resources to patients, empowering them to develop effective coping mechanisms for managing trauma and stress.

• Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, social agencies, and community organizations to ensure comprehensive care is delivered to our patients.

• Facilitate workshops on trauma coping strategies for both staff and patients, promoting a culture of awareness and support within our organization.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards while documenting all patient interactions accurately in the EMR.

• Commit to continuous professional development through relevant workshops and training to maintain your National Certified Counselor certification.

Your primary focus will be on trauma injury patients who may present with a wide range of mental and emotional challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in New York.

• At least three years of professional experience working specifically with trauma-affected individuals.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with EMR systems; experience with Salesforce is an advantage.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for patient rapport and interprofessional collaboration.

Preferred Experience\n

Ideal candidates will also possess additional certifications in trauma-focused therapy approaches, such as EMDR or Trauma-Informed Care principles. Experience in community health settings or multidisciplinary teams is highly favored, as it supports a holistic approach to patient care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
