Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' histories and determine personalized treatment methodologies.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during individual and group sessions.

• Facilitate engaging therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma and cultivate essential coping skills.

• Collaborate closely with medical professionals, including psychiatrists, to ensure cohesive and integrated care for all clients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring a safe environment for each individual.

• Educate clients and their families regarding trauma responses, available resources, and techniques to foster emotional well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a licensed therapist at Life Edge, you will encounter a diverse range of clients who suffer from trauma-related disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role will be vital in providing therapeutic interventions that promote healing and enhance coping mechanisms, enabling clients to navigate their recovery journey effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R within New York State.

• A solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
