Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess clients' mental health and substance use issues, identifying instances of co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment strategies that incorporate evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT).

• Deliver both individual and group therapies designed to equip clients with coping skills, relapse prevention methods, and emotional regulation techniques.

• Coordinate closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless integration of care across all treatment modalities.

• Monitor clients' substance use and employ motivational interviewing techniques to encourage progress in their recovery journey.

• Educate clients and their families about the significance of addressing the connection between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of adherence to treatment plans.

• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of treatment interventions and client progress, adhering to ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and ongoing training to enhance professional development and improve treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily supports individuals who are grappling with the complexities of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will engage with a diverse client population, providing them with the tools and support necessary to navigate their recovery journey and achieve sustainable well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York.

• Experience and proficiency in evidence-based therapies targeted at co-occurring disorders.

• Comprehensive understanding of the relationship between mental health and substance use issues.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive at USD 75,000 – 100,000 per year, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
