Work Environment\n

This position offers the convenience of remote work while maintaining the collaborative spirit of our outpatient office. As a full-time mental health therapist, you will generally work Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening hours required based on client appointments. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance use challenges, identifying the presence of any co-occurring disorders.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that help our clients develop essential coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and effective emotional regulation techniques.

• Work closely with our multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists—to ensure integrated care and holistic treatment for clients.

• Engage in ongoing substance use monitoring and apply motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients to stay on their recovery path.

• Educate clients and their families about the intersection of mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of treatment adherence.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of treatment progress, interventions, and referrals, in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and training sessions to continually enhance your knowledge and skills in the treatment of co-occurring disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client population includes individuals aged 18 and older grappling with severe mental health issues compounded by substance use challenges. Our integrated approach ensures that we attend to the psychological and physiological aspects of recovery, recognizing the unique barriers faced by our clients and tailoring treatments to meet their specific needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A comprehensive understanding of the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
