Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to engage with clients from the comfort of your home while maintaining the dynamics of a close-knit team. Your work hours will be Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with some evening hours required in a rotating shift based on appointment schedules. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver integrated and supportive care.

Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will undertake the following key responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use concerns, accurately identifying co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to craft personalized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based interventions tailored to their unique needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, helping clients develop essential coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques.

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.

• Implement regular substance use monitoring and employ motivational interviewing techniques to effectively support clients in their recovery journey.

• Educate clients and their families regarding the connection between mental health and substance use disorders, enhancing their understanding and treatment adherence.

• Maintain precise and timely documentation of treatment progress and interventions, adhering to all ethical and legal guidelines.

• Engage in case conferences, staff meetings, and ongoing training to further enhance skills and knowledge related to co-occurring disorder treatment.

The primary focus of this role will be to work with individuals grappling with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Proficient knowledge of evidence-based therapies designed for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A strong understanding of the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills that facilitate effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of 2 years of post-degree experience in a therapeutic setting, particularly focusing on co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, is highly desirable. Familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches, crisis intervention techniques, and community resources will also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 - 100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus.
