Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient's unique experiences and challenges.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, fostering resilience and wellbeing.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, creating safe spaces for clients to process trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate integrated care tailored to each patient’s needs.

• Respond to crisis situations promptly, delivering immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, empowering them with knowledge about coping mechanisms and resources available.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal guidelines.

• Engage in case consultations and participate in team meetings focusing on the implementation of trauma-informed practices.

• Stay updated on current research and developments in trauma therapy to enhance treatment efficacy and quality of care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York state.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment protocols.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach to client care.
