Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' psychological histories and determine their individual treatment needs.

• Craft and monitor tailored treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma and develop effective coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team of psychiatrists and mental health professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and create safety plans for clients during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses while guiding them to available resources and coping techniques.

• Maintain accurate and secure documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards within electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in ongoing case consultations and team meetings while contributing to the culture of continuous learning within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counseling services primarily focus on individuals affected by trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, preferably in a trauma-focused setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
