Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' unique trauma histories and understand their treatment needs.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans focused on resilience and recovery from trauma, ensuring that each patient receives personalized care.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing and growth.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process their trauma, cultivate coping strategies, and foster emotional resilience.
\n
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and support staff, to ensure comprehensive care delivery and continuity of treatment.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies or high-stress situations.
\n
• Educate patients and their family members on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and community resources available to them.

• Maintain precise and confidential records in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and improve care strategies for trauma-informed practices.

• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, integrating new knowledge into your clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve predominantly include individuals who have suffered significant trauma, including but not limited to veterans, survivors of abuse, and individuals coping with loss or other distressing life experiences. You will play a crucial role in helping these individuals navigate their recovery journeys and build effective coping mechanisms to improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within New York State.
\n
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress scenarios, ensuring that clients feel supported.

• Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other relevant computer applications for documentation and patient management.

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment, fostering collaboration and mutual support.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with a strong focus on trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
