Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that our therapists can provide uninterrupted care to clients through telehealth platforms. Our work hours are typically Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient schedules.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments focused on evaluating patients' trauma histories and determining appropriate treatment plans.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and leverage evidence-based practices, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Provide high-quality therapeutic interventions and crisis support, particularly during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring swift and effective responses to patients' needs.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and mental health professionals to deliver integrated care, ensuring all aspects of a patient's mental health are addressed cohesively.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, teach effective coping mechanisms, and connect them to appropriate resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development activities aimed at enhancing trauma-informed care delivery.

• Stay informed about ongoing research and evolving best practices in trauma therapy to continually refine therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary client demographic consists of individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, which may range from single-event traumas to complex and chronic trauma situations. By offering tailored therapy solutions and employing trauma-informed care philosophies, our therapists provide clients with the tools and therapeutic support needed for recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within New York State.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and various trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach towards clients.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with virtual counseling platforms.

• A collaborative spirit and readiness to function as a key member of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates demonstrating extensive knowledge of trauma-focused therapies and interventions will be highly regarded. Previous experience in a telehealth setting is beneficial and will enhance the integration into our practice.
