Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories, ensuring that treatment strategies are tailored to individual needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective healing journeys.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for clients to process their trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and promote emotional healing.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, case managers, and other mental health professionals, ensuring an integrated approach to client care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve clients who are trauma survivors, seeking recovery from conditions such as PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. Your experience in providing trauma-focused therapy will be crucial in supporting these individuals as they navigate their healing processes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly in trauma settings.

• Proficient understanding of trauma-related disorders, including various trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience approaches.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• The ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations while demonstrating strong problem-solving capabilities.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other relevant computer applications to document and manage patient information effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is required, candidates who possess additional specialized training in trauma-focused therapies and interventions will be prioritized. Experience providing both individual and group therapy in an outpatient setting is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
