Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments in order to identify each student's unique needs and craft individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.

• Provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions utilizing therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, ensuring interventions are tailored to the developmental level of each student.

• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups that educate students on coping strategies, emotional regulation, and mental health awareness.

• Collaborate closely with educational staff, school psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure an integrated approach to care and to address any crisis situations that may arise promptly.

• Implement crisis intervention protocols when necessary, ensuring a safe environment for students in distress.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential clinical documentation compliant with legal and ethical standards in a timely manner.

• Engage and participate in regular case consultations, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development initiatives to enhance service delivery.

• Stay current with industry trends and evidence-based practices in mental health treatment to provide the best care possible.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse population of students dealing with various mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma-related challenges. By working within the school environment, you will not only address these challenges directly but also work towards creating a culture of acceptance and support that encourages students to seek help.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• Proficient understanding of various mental health disorders and evidenced-based therapeutic approaches.

• Strong capability to perform comprehensive mental health assessments and formulate effective, individualized treatment strategies.

• Demonstrated experience in both individual and group therapy settings, particularly working with youth.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with both students and staff.

• High level of integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and ethics.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and technology is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n
