Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify each student's needs, designing personalized treatment plans that combine evidence-based practices.

• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused brief therapy to deliver effective counseling.

• Lead psychoeducational and support groups that foster community among students while addressing common mental health concerns.

• Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students in need of mental health services.

• Provide crisis intervention during critical incidents, guiding students through mental health emergencies with compassion and urgency.

• Educate students and their families about mental health conditions and available treatment options, equipping them with knowledge about community resources.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in compliance with federal, state, and ethical guidelines.

• Actively participate in case consultations and team meetings, bringing your insights to improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with school-aged children and adolescents experiencing a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, behavioral disorders, and adjustment difficulties. Your ability to connect with young clients from diverse backgrounds will be essential in creating a safe and supportive counseling environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.

• Demonstrated expertise in mental health assessment and individualized treatment planning, along with a strong foundation in evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children and their families.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate documentation and manage patient information effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of two years of experience providing mental health counseling in an educational or outpatient setting.

• Experience working with School Mental Health systems preferred.
\n
• Prior experience facilitating group therapy sessions and psychoeducational workshops.

Compensation and Benefits\n
