Regular business hours will be complemented by occasional evening appointments during peak periods to ensure comprehensive availability for students.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough intake assessments and mental health screenings to accurately identify the needs and concerns of students seeking support.

• Provide focused, short-term individual counseling sessions, employing effective crisis intervention techniques for students experiencing emotional distress.

• Collaborate closely with academic advisors, faculty, and student organizations to develop a comprehensive support network for addressing the diverse needs of the student population.

Our counseling center primarily serves a diverse student population, who face various challenges typical of an academic environment, including academic pressures, personal crises, and emotional difficulties. Your role as a Mental Health Counselor will be pivotal in addressing these issues, creating inclusive and accessible therapeutic strategies to engage students from different backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
