Work Environment\n

This is a fully remote role that allows for flexibility while still maintaining regular business hours. The position may require occasional evening availability to meet the needs of students. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate students’ mental health needs, developing tailored treatment plans addressing emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges.

• Deliver individual counseling sessions and crisis intervention to students dealing with various difficulties, such as anxiety, depression, and social issues, utilizing evidence-based practices and brief therapy models.

• Facilitate group therapy and skills workshops for students, focusing on relevant topics such as stress management, coping strategies, and building resilience.

• Collaborate closely with teachers, school counselors, and parents, creating a network of support that bridges home and school environments for optimal student outcomes.

• Engage in mental health outreach initiatives and preventive programs, including awareness campaigns and workshops designed to foster a supportive school culture.

• Maintain thorough and accurate records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring confidentiality and safeguarding student information.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on the student population within the school environment, addressing the mental health needs of children and adolescents from various backgrounds. You will encounter a wide range of challenges, including academic stress, social anxiety, behavioral issues, and emotional crises, necessitating a strong commitment to diversity and inclusivity.

Qualifications\n

• Active state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field; a Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred.

• Proven experience in mental health counseling, particularly in educational settings or with a youth population.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

• A solid understanding of developmental psychology and the specific mental health challenges faced by school-aged individuals.
