Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients in a school context to accurately identify mental health needs and inform individualized treatment plans.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, groups, and families, employing effective modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and play therapy, tailored to meet the unique requirements of school-aged clients.

• Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and case managers to provide integrated care, ensuring educational goals align with therapeutic interventions.

• Facilitate crisis intervention as needed, providing immediate support to students facing acute emotional distress or challenging situations.

• Engage in community outreach and educational programs to promote mental health awareness within schools and contribute to a culture that reduces stigma.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will focus primarily on young clients, including children and adolescents facing a range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges. Your ability to connect with this demographic through culturally responsive care will be crucial in helping them achieve their mental health goals. By working within the school environment, you can directly monitor students’ progress and adapt therapy to meet their evolving needs.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess an independent and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A minimum of a master's degree or a doctoral degree in relevant fields such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.

• Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity in your approach to working with diverse client backgrounds are a must.

Compensation and Benefits\n
