Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and screenings, collecting detailed data to evaluate clients' mental health concerns and determine tailored treatment plans.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions employing evidence-based approaches, ensuring you adapt strategies to meet various needs.

• Collaborating effectively with a multi-disciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and school counselors, to provide comprehensive, cohesive care.

• Educating and involving clients’ families, promoting their understanding of mental health issues and encouraging their participation in the recovery process.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily focus on providing mental health support to students in a school setting. You will address a wide array of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and developmental issues, guiding each student towards effective coping strategies and personal growth. Your work will directly impact not only the individual students but also their families and the broader school community.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related fields is required; a master's or doctorate is preferred.

• Demonstrated specialized training or extensive experience in mental health counseling, particularly with adolescents.

• A solid foundation in evidence-based practices for various mental health disorders.

• Proven therapeutic and counseling skills, with the ability to build rapport and motivate clients throughout their therapeutic journey.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a treatment team.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates with a minimum of two years of experience in mental health counseling, especially in a school environment or dealing with youth populations.
