The role primarily involves collaborating with educational professionals and families to design and implement care plans for students. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing the emotional and psychological needs of students.

• Manage crisis situations effectively, employing de-escalation techniques and firm yet compassionate intervention as necessary.

• Collaborate with school staff to identify students who may benefit from mental health support and devise tailored care plans.

• Maintain and update clinical records in compliance with state regulations and organizational standards.

• Promote trauma-informed care practices, fostering an inclusive atmosphere that respects and validates every student’s unique experiences.

• Engage in communication and outreach with families, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and involvement in therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on K–12 students who may experience a range of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to behavioral issues. By working directly within the school setting, you will address the specific needs of children and adolescents, providing culturally relevant and age-appropriate support to enhance their emotional and academic lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a Mental Health Counselor or an equivalent credential in the State of California.

• Proficient understanding of mental health issues affecting children and adolescents.
\n
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, allowing for productive engagement with students, parents, and educators.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of supervised clinical experience working with children or adolescents in a therapeutic setting.

• Experience in school counseling or familiarity with educational environments is strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
