Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments by performing comprehensive interviews to evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health status.

• Document case histories meticulously, tracking client progress from the initial consultation through the duration of treatment.

• Design customized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the individual needs of clients, considering their unique backgrounds and experiences.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques to foster healing and personal growth.
\n
• Monitor and assess client's progress during treatment, making adjustments to therapy approaches as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with fellow mental health specialists, medical practitioners, and support staff to create cohesive intervention strategies and wrap-around services.

• Coordinate care with external agencies or providers, including hospital admissions, to ensure continuity of care for clients with acute needs.

• Engage with families of clients and provide guidance to assist them in managing mental and emotional challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Inner Calm Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse array of clients including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Our clients face a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. You will play a crucial role in their journey towards recovery, empowerment, and improved mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW recognized in the state of Washington.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is essential.

• Strong proficiency in electronic health records systems, with experience in AVATAR or similar platforms preferred.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of varied mental health conditions, grief, crisis intervention, and addiction disorders.
\n
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and compassionately both in writing and verbally.

• Strong interpersonal skills that reflect empathy, respect, and a supportive attitude.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in community health settings or similar environments is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• A comprehensive understanding of psychopharmacology and the effects of prescribed medications on mental health.
