Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews, assessments, and case documentation from intake through to the conclusion of treatment.

• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans for clients, considering their unique needs and circumstances.

• Facilitate evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic techniques that promote self-awareness, coping skills, and personal growth.

• Monitor and evaluate client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure integrated care delivery for clients.

• Follow up with healthcare providers for clients who are hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care.

• Focus on identifying potential barriers to recovery, providing strategies to overcome these challenges for both clients and their families.

• Empower family members and primary caregivers by equipping them with tools to support their loved ones' mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure in Illinois as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated proficiency in using electronic health records systems, preferably AVATAR or similar software.
\n
• In-depth understanding of mental health disorders, physical health conditions, and the interplay between addiction and mental health.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a compassionate approach to counseling.

• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with team members.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably within a community health setting.

• Experience with diverse client populations and a genuine passion for addressing psychiatric disorders and life challenges.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and ethical guidelines.

• Familiarity with pharmacological treatments and their implications in mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n
