Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity, impact, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder.

• Collaborate closely with clients to design personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, aspirations, and life situations.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support clients in achieving their mental health goals.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, various treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to ensure holistic support.

• Monitor client progress thoroughly and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.

• Work in partnership with psychiatrists and other healthcare specialists to provide integrated patient care, ensuring all aspects of a client’s health are addressed.

• Stay current with the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment to constantly improve and adapt our therapeutic strategies.

• Maintain detailed and confidential records in compliance with applicable legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team case consultations, organizational meetings, and professional development activities to enhance therapeutic practice.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and strive to reduce the stigma associated with mental health disorders within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our therapists primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Many clients may face additional challenges, such as homelessness, past trauma, or domestic violence. This role is pivotal in providing vital support to those facing complex life circumstances, fostering resilience, and promoting recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) .

• A master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution.
