Work Environment\n

As a telehealth provider based in El Paso, Texas, you will engage closely with clients in a remote setting, utilizing innovative technology to effectively connect and collaborate. You will have access to advanced electronic health record systems, including AVATAR, to document patient care and manage client information efficiently.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial mental health evaluations by interviewing clients to understand their concerns and complexities, documenting findings consistently throughout the treatment process.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that are tailored to the unique needs of each client, incorporating evidence-based interventions for both short-term and long-term goals.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques to promote mental and emotional growth among participants.
\n
• Regularly monitor and assess client progress, altering treatment strategies as needed to ensure effective outcomes throughout their recovery journey.
\n
• Coordinate and collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to integrate a holistic approach to client care.

• Provide follow-ups with clients being treated in inpatient settings, maintaining continuity of care and ensuring that all parties are aligned in treatment objectives.

• Support family members and primary caregivers, equipping them with strategies for managing challenges associated with mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse population, including individuals and families facing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, along with exceptional interpersonal skills, are essential for effective client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a strong foundation in therapeutic practices.

• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Experience utilizing electronic health record systems, with a preference for proficiency in AVATAR.

• A deep understanding of the impact of co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.
