Work Environment\n

This full-time position is designed to be remote, providing you the flexibility to manage your schedule while ensuring students obtain vital mental health therapy. As part of a collaborative team, you will engage with teachers, school administrators, and other mental health professionals to design and implement therapeutic strategies that promote overall student success.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students, which may include interviews, behavioral observations, and standardized tests to identify mental health needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with each student’s academic and personal goals, drawing from evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, incorporating techniques tailored to adolescents and young adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.

• Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to create a supportive environment that encourages mental wellness and addresses barriers to learning.

• Act as a liaison between families and the school to educate parents about mental health resources and involve them in their children’s therapeutic processes.

• Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential documentation of client sessions and treatment progress in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily focus on students navigating mental health challenges within the school environment. This includes young people dealing with a range of issues from academic stress to trauma and beyond. You will play a critical role in providing the support they need to thrive, both emotionally and academically.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent.

• A Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
\n
• At least two years of professional experience in mental health counseling, ideally within school or child psychology environments.

• A demonstrated commitment to culturally competent care, understanding and respecting the diversity of backgrounds among clients.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, essential for building strong relationships with students and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

• An advanced degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is highly desirable.

• Experience implementing behavior intervention plans or crisis intervention strategies is a plus.

• Familiarity with school-based mental health initiatives and prevention programs is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

• Annual salary ranging from $60,000 to $104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
