Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing therapists the flexibility to deliver care from their own environments while ensuring they maintain a strong connection to our collaborative team ethos. Our clinic values a work-life balance, permitting some flexibility in scheduling based on individual patient needs, with core hours typically from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments, taking the time to understand each patient's unique trauma history and tailoring treatment approaches accordingly.

• Design, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building strategies, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing specific modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to enable patients to process their trauma and cultivate effective coping skills.

• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary setting, working alongside psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated and comprehensive approach to patient care.

• Provide essential crisis intervention services and support, especially in trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families on the effects of trauma, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to enhance their support networks and recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client base consists of individuals navigating the complexities of trauma, including but not limited to adult survivors of childhood abuse, veterans coping with PTSD, and individuals facing challenges related to dissociation and complex trauma. Our therapeutic goal is to empower these clients toward recovery and resilience, guiding them through therapeutic processes that promote healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Valid licensure as either an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and a commitment to implementing trauma-informed care principles.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications is necessary.

• A compassionate, non-judgmental attitude coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with demonstrable experience in trauma-focused therapies and interventions or extensive training in evidence-based practices are highly valued. Familiarity with resilience-building approaches will also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
