Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history and current mental health status, utilizing validated assessment tools.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans aimed at addressing individual trauma recovery needs and fostering resilience.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring that all treatments are scientifically validated and effective.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions and lead supportive group therapy sessions that guide patients in processing their trauma, developing coping strategies, and promoting emotional healing.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to integrate care and coordinate the best outcomes for patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies, employing de-escalation strategies as needed.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with resources to enhance their recovery process.

• Maintain detailed, confidential documentation of patient progress, adhering to ethical standards and legal requirements.

• Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and case discussions centered around the latest research and methodologies in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients overcoming the effects of trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and other related disorders. This patient population requires sensitivity, empathy, and a solid understanding of trauma-informed practices to facilitate healing and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure in the state as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health counseling, particularly with trauma-focused therapies.

Compensation and Benefits\n
