Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate clients' unique trauma histories and identify effective treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are focused on facilitating trauma recovery and enhancing resilience.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help clients heal and regain control of their lives.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a space where clients can process their trauma and formulate coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated care, ensuring all facets of a client's mental and emotional health are addressed.

• Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies and support clients as they navigate acute distress.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources to bolster healing beyond the therapy session.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, adhering to all legal and ethical standards required in the mental health field.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities with a focus on trauma-informed practices.

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in trauma therapy and mental health research to continuously enhance therapeutic competencies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals affected by trauma, ranging from military veterans to survivors of abuse and neglect. You will work closely with clients to build a trusting rapport, helping them navigate the complexities of trauma recovery and equipping them with effective coping strategies to better manage their emotional and psychological symptoms.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.

• You must hold a current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is required.
\n
• Deep knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities, as well as resilience-building strategies, is essential.
\n
• Experience with trauma-focused therapies is highly preferred.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach, are necessary for successful client relationships.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications to maintain accurate records.
\n
• Ability to contribute to team dynamics and engage in multidisciplinary collaborations.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is essential, additional experience in specialized trauma-informed therapies or crisis intervention is viewed favorably, as well as familiarity with community resources for trauma recovery.

Compensation and Benefits\n
