Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, enabling the development of targeted treatment strategies.

• Create and execute personalized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the integration of coping mechanisms.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate deep healing.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions focused on helping clients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and integrated care for patients.
\n
• Deliver crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies and provide support to clients and their families in times of need.
\n
• Educate clients and family members on trauma responses, available resources, and effective coping strategies to encourage a healthier recovery process.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation complying with all legal and ethical standards.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and practices in trauma therapy through seasonal trainings and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our focus is primarily on individuals who have experienced trauma, including those with PTSD, complex trauma, and other trauma-related disorders. By understanding the unique needs of trauma survivors, we strive to offer tailored therapeutic interventions that promote empowerment and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related conditions and effective, trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Experience in the mental health field, specifically using trauma-focused interventions.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient patient documentation and communication.
\n
• A calm and composed approach in managing high-stress scenarios typical of crisis interventions.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
