Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to gain a comprehensive understanding of each patient’s unique trauma history and craft tailored treatment plans.

• Implement a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate recovery.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process trauma, cultivate coping mechanisms, and foster resilience.
\n
• Work in concert with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and integrated support for clients.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure client safety and well-being.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about the impact of trauma, offering strategies for resilience and accessing relevant resources.
\n
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in alignment with healthcare regulations while contributing to clinical discussions in case consultations and team meetings.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in trauma treatment methodologies to continually enhance clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to victims of abuse, violence, and other distressing life events. Our clients often present with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, and they rely on our expertise to guide them through their healing journeys.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience providing trauma-focused therapy is preferred.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed treatment modalities and experience in evidence-based therapy techniques.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with digital tools for teletherapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
