Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient's trauma history and identify suitable treatment methodologies.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience, and overall mental well-being.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate patient healing.

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, aimed at helping patients process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Engage in collaborative case discussions with psychiatrists and fellow therapists to ensure that each patient receives cohesive and integrated care.

• Offer crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and therapeutic modalities.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, healthy coping mechanisms, and available resources in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will work primarily with adults navigating the effects of trauma, including but not limited to those struggling with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and amply trained in trauma-informed treatment modalities.
