Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' unique trauma histories, thereby identifying appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, emphasizing resilience-building techniques and coping strategies.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group therapy formats.

• Facilitate therapy sessions that help patients process their trauma experiences and foster healing in a safe environment.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, holistic care tailored to each patient's needs, promoting a comprehensive approach to therapy.

• Provide crisis intervention support to clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate assistance and appropriate follow-ups.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources that can enhance their support systems.

• Maintain accurate, confidential patient documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings, where you will share insights and strategies focused on trauma-informed care and stay current with best practices in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client population at First Hand Psychotherapy Center includes individuals impacted by trauma, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, veterans, and those experiencing acute stress responses. You will play an essential role in helping these clients navigate their healing journeys, empowering them with the knowledge and coping strategies necessary to lead fulfilling lives.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.

• A genuine passion for providing trauma-informed care that promotes patient healing and resilience.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and modalities specifically geared toward trauma treatment.

• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor fostering trust and rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with a strong commitment to developing trauma-focused skills and knowledge will be considered. Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is a plus, as well as a proven ability to remain composed in high-stress situations. Familiarity with EHR systems and collaborative workflows within multidisciplinary teams is also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, along with a comprehensive healthcare benefits package to support your physical and mental well-being.
