Heart and Mind Therapeutic Intervention, LLC is actively looking for a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team in a full-time, remote capacity. This role is vital as you provide specialized therapeutic services to individuals who have experienced trauma, including those affected by post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders.

Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, offering you the flexibility to work from a comfortable and safe space while still being an integral part of our supportive team. Your typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient demands. This provides an excellent work-life balance while you serve clients in a compassionate and understanding manner.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to identify patients' trauma histories and develop effective treatment approaches tailored to their unique needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and foster healing.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure an integrated and comprehensive approach to patient care.
\n
• Provide timely crisis intervention and supportive care during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients feel safe and understood.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available resources, empowering them through knowledge and support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation to comply with legal and ethical standards, ensuring seamless continuity of care.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to foster collaboration and share insights on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with adults and adolescents seeking healing from trauma. We cater to clients dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, allowing you to make a genuine impact on their mental health journey. You will contribute significantly to their recovery process by providing critical guidance and support in their rehabilitation.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, LCMFT, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Capability to design and deliver trauma-focused therapies and interventions effectively.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
\n
• A calm and composed nature when navigating high-stress situations.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

• A strong willingness to collaborate as a part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates to have at least 2 years of post-licensure experience, specifically in trauma-focused therapy settings or similar environments. A robust understanding of resilience-building techniques and prior experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team will be beneficial in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
