Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique trauma history and establish appropriate treatment strategies.

• Craft and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and enhance resilience in patients.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) tailored to each client's specific needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma and cultivate effective coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and other health care professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for each patient.

• Deliver crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, equipping patients with immediate assistance when needed.

• Educate patients and their families by providing essential information regarding trauma responses, coping strategies, and available support resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment compliance in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings, consequently contributing to ongoing enhancements in our trauma-informed care methodologies.

• Stay up to date with the latest evidence-based research and best practices in trauma therapy to enrich your therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals who have experienced trauma in various forms, including but not limited to domestic violence, sexual assault, and complex childhood trauma. We understand the unique challenges faced by trauma survivors and are committed to providing empathetic and informed care tailored to their needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in the state of Massachusetts as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and a thorough understanding of trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications to enhance clinical workflow and documentation.

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to provide the highest standard of care.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with extensive knowledge and experience in delivering trauma-focused treatments and interventions will be highly regarded. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and techniques specifically related to trauma recovery is an added advantage.
