Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments, focusing on understanding patients' unique trauma histories and collaboratively identifying the most appropriate treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that promote trauma recovery and resilience, ensuring strategies are adaptable to meet evolving patient needs.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to the individual needs of patients.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at enabling patients to process their trauma experiences while developing effective coping mechanisms.

• Work seamlessly with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to guarantee an integrated and comprehensive care approach for our clients.

• Offer crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive the immediate assistance they need.

• Educate clients and their families regarding trauma responses and available community resources, empowering them to engage in their healing process.

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress as mandated by legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in professional development activities and team discussions that prioritize trauma-informed care and best practices.

• Regularly review current research and trends related to trauma therapy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will directly impact individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and violence. Our patients may struggle with PTSD, complex trauma, or dissociative disorders, all of which require specialized, empathetic therapeutic strategies. In this role, you will foster a supportive space for healing where clients can feel safe to share their journeys and work collaboratively on their recovery goals.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW is required in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, with a strong preference for those experienced in trauma-informed care.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatments, demonstrating familiarity with various trauma-informed practices.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude toward clients.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital applications vital for telehealth service delivery.

• Strong collaborative skills, capable of functioning within a multidisciplinary team structure.

Preferred Experience\n
