Work Environment\n

The role offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing therapists to deliver care within their chosen environment while maintaining accessibility to clients throughout San Diego and beyond. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility required to accommodate the evolving needs of patients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ unique trauma histories, identifying the most effective treatment approaches tailored to individual needs.

• Create and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and enhancing resilience, using a variety of therapeutic methodologies.

• Provide evidence-based interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and other therapeutic modalities that support trauma recovery.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, empowering patients to process their experiences, cultivate coping mechanisms, and foster their healing journeys.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for each patient.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating a calm and composed demeanor under pressure.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on understanding trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available resources to support recovery efforts.

• Maintain accurate and secure documentation in compliance with all legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights, discuss patient progress, and stay updated on advancements in trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on adult clients who have experienced trauma and are dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and other trauma-related disorders. Our aim is to provide compassionate and effective mental health care that addresses the complex needs of these individuals. Therapists will be instrumental in helping clients navigate their recovery journeys, instilling hope, resilience, and personal empowerment.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred, demonstrating ability to work effectively with trauma-affected populations.

• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building approaches indicative of effective therapy.

• Strong interpersonal and communication prowess, coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Ability to remain composed during high-stress situations, handling crises with professionalism and empathy.

• Proficiency in managing electronic health record (EHR) systems and common computer applications for effective documentation and patient coordination.

• A collaborative mindset conducive to teamwork within a multidisciplinary treatment setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
