Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to effectively evaluate each patient's unique trauma history.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to support trauma recovery and promote resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate client healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that enable clients to process their trauma while developing robust coping strategies.
\n
• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment plans are in place.

• Provide crisis intervention as needed and offer support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma, coping mechanisms, and available community resources, fostering a supportive environment.

• Maintain meticulous documentation consistent with ethical and legal standards using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in regular case consultations, participate in team meetings, and develop professionally through ongoing training in trauma-informed care.

• Stay current on the latest research and methodologies in trauma-focused therapy to continuously enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and may face unique challenges; hence, a deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and the specific needs of this population is critical. You will apply your expertise to instill hope and promote healing through tailored interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, demonstrating a solid foundation in trauma-informed therapy practices.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with a variety of treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to connect with individuals in a compassionate and empathetic manner.

• Calmness and ability to manage high-stress situations effectively.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing EHR systems and other necessary technology for delivering telehealth services.

• Capacity to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary team environment while contributing strategically to client care plans.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with trauma-focused therapies and interventions, particularly EMDR and TF-CBT.

Compensation and Benefits\n
