Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to identify each patient’s unique trauma history and tailor therapeutic approaches accordingly.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that prioritize recovery and resilience for clients, incorporating modalities such as EMDR and TF-CBT.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a holistic approach to support clients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated care, ensuring comprehensive support for all patients.

• Deliver crisis intervention as needed, offering immediate support during traumatic episodes or emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about the impacts of trauma, healthy coping mechanisms, and available systemic resources.

• Maintain rigorous documentation practices to comply with legal standards, ethical guidelines, and organizational policies.

• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing education related to trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals affected by various forms of trauma, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. These patients often face significant emotional challenges that require compassionate, professional management and care. By building trust and rapport, you will help empower clients as they work towards healing and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R within New York State.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and the application of trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Proficient in the use of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation and case management.
