Work Environment\n

As a remote workplace, we offer flexibility while prioritizing effective communication and collaboration. Our therapists work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and support staff, to provide integrated care for our patients. With a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, there is some leeway in scheduling to accommodate the needs of our diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain insight into patients' trauma histories and to inform appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on empowering patients through trauma recovery, resilience-building, and emotional wellness.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process their traumas, develop effective coping skills, and foster a sense of community.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals in case consultations to ensure cohesive treatment and care continuity for our patients.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support to patients during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring their immediate safety and psychological stability.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, potential coping strategies, and available community resources to foster empowerment and understanding.

• Maintain confidential and precise documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards while also contributing to the clinic's quality assurance efforts.

• Engage in ongoing professional development activities tailored to enhancing trauma-informed care proficiency and fostering a culture of learning.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with trauma survivors, a population often grappling with the effects of severe emotional distress. By applying their expertise in trauma-focused therapies, the selected therapist will contribute significantly to patient recovery journeys, guiding them through their healing processes and instilling hope and resilience in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and the application of trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstration of excellent interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate approach and the ability to foster trust.

• Capability to maintain composure and clarity in high-stress situations, ensuring the safety and support of patients.
\n
• Proficient use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant digital tools necessary for effective documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly with trauma-focused therapies, is preferred. Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams will enhance the candidate's effectiveness in this role, as will a proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development.

Compensation and Benefits\n
