Our flexible work environment prioritizes a work-life balance tailored around patient needs, primarily operating Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility required as necessary.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' trauma histories, identifying the most effective treatment strategies.

• Formulate and implement personalized treatment plans emphasizing trauma recovery and resilience development, integrating therapeutic techniques based on individual client needs.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe and supportive environment for patients to process their experiences and develop healthier coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate seamless, integrated care that addresses both mental health and medication needs.

• Respond effectively to crisis situations, employing de-escalation strategies and offering immediate support to patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma-informed practices, effective coping mechanisms, and available mental health resources in the community.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential progress records to comply with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Engage in ongoing case consultations, team meetings, and professional development workshops focused on continuing education in trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy methodologies, ensuring the integration of best practices into patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically focuses on supporting individuals marginalized by past trauma, including survivors of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Equivalent in the state of New York.

• A strong grasp of trauma-related disorders and a familiarity with the best practices in trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-focused approaches.

• Exceptional communication skills, characterized by an ability to connect with patients through a compassionate and non-judgmental lens.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
