Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate the trauma history of patients and formulate appropriate treatment plans.

• Design and execute individualized treatment strategies aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and enhancing resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to effectively address trauma-related issues.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing traumatic experiences and developing healthy coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to ensure holistic care for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating a calm and composed demeanor in stressful situations.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and the resources available to aid in their recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus at Avella Behavioral Health Center includes individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma. This encompasses survivors of abuse, veterans dealing with PTSD, and others facing dissociative disorders. Each patient's therapeutic journey is personalized, taking into account their specific experiences and therapeutic needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Pennsylvania.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, showcasing relevant clinical competency.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed care principles.

• Proven experience delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills characterized by compassion and a non-judgmental approach.

• Proficient in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and possess strong computer skills.

Compensation and Benefits\n
