Work Environment\n

This role offers the unique benefit of telehealth provision, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while making a transformative impact on our clients' lives. As a remote counselor, you will leverage advanced telehealth technologies to conduct sessions, ensuring flexibility for both you and your patients. Your work schedule is primarily Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs and emergencies.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and trauma history, with a focus on developing personalized treatment paths.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans designed to promote trauma recovery, resilience, and holistic well-being.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that empower clients to process traumatic experiences and develop effective coping strategies.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other health professionals to provide integrated, multidisciplinary care tailored to each client’s unique needs.

• Provide crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate support when clients are in distress.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about the dynamics of trauma responses, appropriate coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a culture of shared learning and professional growth.

• Stay updated on current research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance the effectiveness of provided services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients who have experienced significant trauma. This includes individuals suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. You will play a pivotal role in helping clients navigate their feelings, understand their trauma responses, and foster resilience, ultimately leading to improved mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders and established trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a non-judgmental approach to client interactions.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms.
\n
• Strong commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical practice.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred, particularly in trauma-focused therapies.

• Experience working with a diverse client population is beneficial.

• Knowledge of community resources to support clients beyond therapy sessions is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
