Work Environment\n

Your role will primarily be remote, allowing you to conduct virtual therapy sessions from the comfort of your own setting while still maintaining close communications with colleagues. While our outpatient office provides a collaborative space for in-person meetings, the flexibility of remote work schedules supports your work-life balance. Our typical work week runs from Monday to Friday, with standard hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although some flexibility may be required based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and identify appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and building resilience, based on evidence-based practices.

• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to patient care, including medication management when necessary.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety and well-being.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources to promote empowerment and self-efficacy.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards while adhering to best practices in documentation.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing insights to enhance and refine trauma-informed care strategies.

• Continuously update knowledge of recent research and emerging best practices in trauma therapy to ensure quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses primarily on serving individuals affected by trauma, including survivors of abuse, accidents, or significant life events. You will work with diverse demographics, tailoring your approach to align with each patient's unique experiences and background. Your sensitivity to these complexities will enhance the effectiveness of your interventions and support their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, especially in trauma-informed settings.

• Proficiency in trauma-focused therapeutic modalities and an understanding of trauma-related disorders.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• The capability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications for documentation and communication.
