Work Environment\n

The work setting at El Gloria Counseling Center is fully remote, allowing for greater flexibility while ensuring that our dedicated staff members can deliver exceptional outpatient care. The work schedule operates Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We acknowledge the need for flexibility based on patient needs, which may dynamically influence your daily routine. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and determine suitable treatment modalities.
\n
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans targeting trauma recovery and resilience enhancement, ensuring each patient’s unique experiences are considered.
\n
• Offer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), designed to facilitate healing.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, acquire coping strategies, and foster emotional stability.
\n
• Maintain effective collaboration with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to guarantee comprehensive care for all patients.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients feel safe and cared for.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available mental health resources to empower them on their journey to recovery.
\n
• Ensure all documentation is accurate, timely, and in compliance with legal and ethical standards within the field of mental health.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities centered on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in trauma therapy and best practices to continually enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will directly support a diverse population of clients who have experienced varying forms and degrees of trauma. The focus will be on individuals dealing with PTSD, complex trauma backgrounds, and dissociative disorders. You will use sensitive and tailored approaches to address each patient’s unique experiences, facilitating individual pathways toward healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York is necessary.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and the ability to implement trauma-informed treatment modalities effectively.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications commonly used in mental health care settings.
\n
• Ability to remain calm and collected in high-stress situations, providing essential support to clients in their most vulnerable moments.
\n
• A collaborative spirit, with a commitment to working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, having at least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is preferred. Experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is a significant advantage. Familiarity with diverse therapeutic methods and a track record of working successfully in outpatient environments would also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
