Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, thereby informing individualized treatment strategies.

• Utilize therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support patient healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, empowering patients to process trauma and establish effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive, integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating your ability to remain composed under pressure.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and a passion for trauma-informed modalities will also be considered. Additionally, experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and exhibiting excellent interpersonal and communication skills will further distinguish applicants in this role.
