Life Carriage Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our outpatient team. Work Environment\n

The work setting is primarily remote, offering flexibility to our therapists while maintaining a strong connection to our outpatient office. Our collaborative workspace promotes communication and teamwork, ensuring that all team members are supported in maintaining the highest standards of care. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to gather detailed patient histories, evaluating trauma backgrounds to formulate appropriate treatment plans.

• Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment strategies designed to foster resilience and promote trauma recovery.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to aid patients in processing their trauma.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, assisting patients in developing effective coping strategies and tools to manage their trauma responses.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary professionals to create a seamless care experience for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related situations, ensuring timely and effective emergency support for patients.

• Educate patients and their families about understanding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards pertaining to mental health care.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay current with the latest research and developments in trauma therapy to incorporate best practices into therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• At least 2 years of related post-licensure experience, specifically in trauma-focused settings and methodologies.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed care principles.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to maintain composure and clarity in high-stress scenarios while providing empathetic support.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment, integrating seamlessly with multidisciplinary colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
