This full-time position, located in Houston, Texas, offers the unique opportunity to provide therapy in a remote telehealth setting, allowing for flexibility while delivering critical mental health support to diverse populations.

Work Environment\n

This role is fully remote, leveraging telehealth technology to deliver therapy to clients throughout Texas. You will be equipped with advanced digital tools to facilitate effective communication and connection with clients. Working Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the position allows for a balanced work-life synergy, essential for maintaining your own mental wellness as you support others.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Implement mindfulness-based interventions, including structured Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) protocols, to assist clients in managing anxiety, stress, and enhancing emotional balance.

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to understand clients’ unique stressors, life challenges, and therapeutic goals; customize mindfulness practices to meet their needs.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions using strategies such as guided meditation, mindful breathing exercises, and cognitive reframing to promote effective coping mechanisms.

• Lead group workshops that focus on mindfulness practices, stress reduction techniques, and resilience-building strategies, creating a communal space for client engagement and support.

• Collaborate with fellow therapists and cross-disciplinary healthcare providers to create a seamless and integrated treatment plan that emphasizes the role of mindfulness in mental health recovery.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential records of client progress, therapy techniques applied, and treatment outcomes to ensure high-quality and personalized care.

• Continuously engage in personal mindfulness practice and pursue ongoing professional development opportunities centered on mindfulness training and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Mental Oasis, you will work with a diverse range of clients seeking support for various mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related issues, and stress management challenges. Qualifications\n

• Hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Possess a current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Demonstrate proficiency in therapeutic methodologies that incorporate mindfulness practices into clinical interventions.

• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of establishing a calm and supportive therapeutic environment for diverse clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience or advanced training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques is highly desirable, although not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits\n
